Are your products organic?
A. We use organic ingredients in our products as much as possible.
We
use Certified organic, locally grown (ground) oats, adzuki bean and corn
in our Face Clean and the same oats in our Serenity Blend Tub Tea. We
use Certified organic Green Tea leaf in our Face Clean. Please see: About
the Quality of our Essential Oils for essential oil information in
this regard. Not all of our plant oils are organic. This is because in
some cases we can’t find “organic” and in some cases
“organic” is only available in quantities that are unrealistic
for us to purchase (i.e. 50 gallon drums) due to the size of our business
at this time. However, we are constantly searching for organic sources
for the ingredients that we use now that are not organic and we readily
switch when we find organic. Also there is some controversy about certain
oils and an organic requirement, i.e. hempseed oil… I can’t
find organic hempseed oil and the industry says that hempseed oil doesn’t
need to be sprayed with any chemicals so infact it is organically grown.
I have found similar information in some circles about olive oil.
Some
of the ingredients that we use in our products do not exist “organically”…
dulse & sea salt (show me an organic ocean), French green clay, Dead
Sea mud and Dead Sea salt, baking soda, Epsom salt… However we do
our utmost to ensure the ingredients that we do use are top quality. We
talk to our suppliers often and ask many questions in this regard. We
use our products ourselves so we very much have a vested interest in the
quality of the products.
I
have a question myself…
Why do we have a system where harmful chemicals are allowed on and in
our food, products, etc…? Wouldn’t it be great if some day,
organic was the only option?

Do you make your own products?
A. Yes, we make our own products.
To clarify, of all of the products that we sell, approximately 70% are
made by us. Approximately 30% of products that we sell (through our website
and at our local business) are in the form of raw materials that we purchase
from our trusted and known suppliers, i.e. our essential oils, hydrosols,
Dead Sea mud, French green clay, hempseed oil, shea butter & carrier
oils.
